Tour of the Sanreizan

Written by TSG Cycling Team at 06:57 2/4-2018

For many, this is one of the biggest race of the season as it's the only stage race in Division 7. The same applies to TSG Cycling Team.

In only our second participation in the tours, we came into this race hoping to perform well in the mixed terrain and secure a top 10 in the overall GC. Our American climber, Jeremy Hughes, entered the race as our protected rider after finishing 20th overall last season. Meanwhile, Karsten Verdaasdonk was aiming at the two sprint stages.

We managed to get 3 top 9s across the 5 stages, 2 of them coming from Karsten who also ended 6th overall in the sprint classification. Harnizam Merali finished 9th overall in the youth classification after a strong time trial up Fujisan.

In terms of the overall GC, Jeremy and Harnizam secured 11th and 19th place respectively. We're excited for the next edition already!
